ROOM LEADER


About the role

You will be responsible to lead a team and create a harmonious work environment. Your duties include planning and implementing a program based on an emergent curriculum approach that reflects best practice. Our curriculum approach is childā€centred, family focused and connects with the community. The curriculum is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the NQF standards.

Skills requirement

  • Have 3 years experience working as a room leader in a long day care centre
  • Diploma or above ACECQA assessed equivalent
  • Current Working with Children Check; First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Training
  • Experience with the Storypark electronic portfolio system an advantage
  • Ability to build rapport easily and quickly with parents, educators, children, and the wider community
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound understanding and experience implementing the EYLF & NQS
  • Confidence to take on new initiatives within the centre
  • Desire to work as part of a team and facilitate cohesion within the team
  • Good computer skills

EDUCATORS

You will assume responsibility for the quality of care provided to the children, maintain appropriate records based on written observations and evaluations of children's development, and to ensure a safe environment for both educators and children. Our curriculum approach is child-centred, family focused and connects with the community. The curriculum is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the NQS standards.

Skills requirement

  • Certificate III or above qualifications
  • At least one year experience as an educator in long day care centre
  • Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Training
  • Ability to build rapport easily and quickly with parents, staff, children, and the wider community
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound understanding and experience implementing the EYLF & NQS
  • Confidence to take on new initiatives within the centre
  • Computer literate
